For our Catholic schools to work effectively, and to meet their financial challenges, four different groups have to make sacrifices – some bigger than others.
Parents sacrifice – by paying tuition
when their children could go to public schools for free.
Teachers sacrifice – by receiving less pay
than they might receive in the public school system.
Parishes sacrifice – by making sure the school’s expenses
are part of their yearly budget, as it should be.
Community sacrifice – through fundraising
such as bingo, parish galas, raffles, etc.
CBN-MC is one of the few outside groups to help with this last leg of our parish school’s finances by providing development grants, needs based scholarships and an essay contest scholarship. Much of what we give is raised at our Gala and we hope you’ll be able to join us and/or contribute, have some fun and be a part of the future of Catholic education in Montgomery County.
